BluVolley Verona announced it reached an agreement for the extension of Mitja Gasparini’s contract. The outside hitter registered 55 appearances with the Verona shirt (27 last season and 28 in 2011-12), club with which he had made his debut in the top division. In 2013-14, he scored a significant 468 points, among which 51 aces and 43 blocks. He received the prestigious Confcommercio Trophy as the MVP of the PalaOlimpia.
“I am glad to stay because I really like what the club is doing – said Gasparini – I love Verona and the supporters there are here, I really feel at home. I can’t wait to start the pre-season in August with the rest of the group”.
