An excellent way to evaluate how great a season Perugia had is to check how many of its players will be involved in international encounters this weekend. Starting with the Italian national team, we have Buti gone in Brazil for the first stage of the World League, while Giovi was selected to work with the rest of the Italian group. World League action as well for the Serbian trio Atanasijevic, Mitic and Petric, who will take on Russia on May 30. They will warm up with training sessions with Iran, coached by Boban Kovac, and with athletic trainer Carlo Sati. Iran will face Italy in the world League in a week’s time. As for Perugia’s new signings, Luciano De Cecco will help Argentina against France, while Maruotti is also in Cavalese for the camp with the Italian group that did not travel to Brazil.
