For the third consecutive season, the Junior League will take place in the Marche region. This 23rd edition will start Thursday in Loreto and Potenza Piceno. The holders, Macerata, coached by Gianni Rosichini and Enrico Massaccesi, will be there to defend their title as they were drawn in Group A with Altotevere Città di Castello, Sir Safety Perugia, Mc Vero Volley Monza and Sieco Service Ortona. However, Macerata’s team has changed a lot since last season, when there were players like Randazzo, who’s now with the Italian national team in the World League.

“We have a totally new team – confirmed coach Rosichini – and with a lower age average than the other teams. We have many players born from 1996 to 1998. This will first of all be a new experience for us, we haven’t set ourselves any goals except the one to play to the best of our ability”.

Here is the full roster: Javier Facundo Martinez, Alessio Sitti (Setters), Tommaso Fabi, Matteo Pizzichini, Marco Vitelli (middle blockers), Manuel Alfieri, Andrea Bulfon, Paolo Di Silvestre, Alessandro Genevrini, Renato Lalloni, Riccardo Vecchi (spikers), Giovanni Provvisiero (libero).
