GM Giuseppe Cormio announced in a packed press-conference room that the man to take over Marco Bonitta will be Waldo Kantor. The Argentine was an extremely talented and appreciated setter who played for 11 years in the Italian league, very often alongside fellow countryman Hugo Conte, who was the link that brought Kantor to Ravenna.
“Kantor has been training in Argentina for a long time – said GM Cormio – But he had never left his country so I called Conte to know more about it once I got that idea. Waldo was immediately excited about the idea and did not make any particular request on the terms and length of the contract, which will however last 2 years”.
