Monza came out victorious from its encounter in Cantù and goes 2-0 up in the final series. Thanks to this 3-1 win, Monza could already celebrate promotion when it entertains Cantù on Saturday in Game 3.
“It’s been an extremely tough encounter – said coach Oreste Vacondio – But I expected it to be just as hard. It was impossible that they’d play like Saturday, especially on the serve. I expected them to hit it hard in the first set. I also expected they’d slow down at one point with a couple of mistakes. As soon as it happened, we took the upper-hand”.
