Potenza Picena came out of the playoffs heads high, as it gave a hard time to Monza for an hour before eventually surrendering (0-3). Two consolations: Moretti finished top scorer of the game (with Padura Diaz, 18 points) and left the playoffs as the top scorer with 111 total points.
“We knew it was going to be extremely tough – said Moretti – We played face to face for two sets against a top quality team which is gratifying, even if in the end they were physically stronger. We are satisfied with our season. It was a positive year for me as well following last season in which I had problems with the coach in Padova. He had wrongly labelled me and I proved him wrong with a season played at a top level”.
