The defeat in Ortona did not have any effect on Potenza’s final position in the league table. The club ends with the same number of points as last season (22) but one step above in ninth place with a ticket in the playoffs. On Wednesday, Potenza will play host to Corigliano in game 1 of the preliminary round (8th of finals).
“Ortona really made it hard for us with their serve – said outside hitter Federico Moretti – But we also made mistake that could have been avoided. Now the preliminary round of the playoffs will be like a new championship for us, in which we’ll have nothing to lose”.
