Verona keeps working hard to prepare Sunday’s road game against Macerata. During the week, Piacenza reduced the gap with the league leaders to one point by beating Ravenna in a postponed game.
“Macerata will give everything, they have one more motivation now – said Simone Anzani – They will want to stay top. But we’ll go there eager to do well and prove we’re still in the mix for a playoff spot. We have to bounce back after a few games in which we seemed to lack that final point to win the sets. We tend to play well for long spells then comes a sudden blackout. Our goal now will be to make it hard for our opponents and try to steal something out of our games in Macerata, Piacenza and then Trento”.
