Positive weekend spent in the Abruzzo region for Perugia. Without his three Serbian Internationals (Petric, Atanasijevic and Mitic), coach Kovac took advantage to give some experience to other players. In the semi-final they had the better of Molfetta, while they surrendered in the final against Macerata. Tied at one set all after two tights sets, Perugia took the early initiatives in the third (8-4) before Macerata took control of the game with Zaytsev and young Bonacic shining.
