The Macerata squad travels to Siberia to take on the European Champions of Novosibirsk. While they have won their fifth consecutive Siberia and Far East cup, they are currently fourth in the Russian league.
“I agree with what the coach said last week, this game represents a first final – said Serbian middle blocker Podrascanin as Macerata tries to stay top of their group going into the return games which will see them face Aich/Dob and Kazan next – A positive result would get us very close to qualification. It will obviously be very difficult against the European Champions but we have what it takes to make the breakthrough so we’re confident”.
