Setter Lukas Kampa and oustide hitter Alen Sket landed in Italy this weekend and were already in tre group training yesterday.

“We had a good tournament – said Kampa as Germany went as far as the quarter-finals in the European Championships, beaten by Bulgaria – Shame we were knocked out at the quarter-final stage but we understood that when we play our best volleyball we can beat any team (Germany is the only team that beat Russia, eventual winner of the competition). When I played in Modena in the World League, there was a lot of energy in the gym, this is an arena full of history and passion”.

As for the Slovenian Alen Sket, he played for Ljubljana from 2008 to 2013 before signing for Modena. “We defeated Serbia in the first game but then lost against Finland and the Netherlands and were knocked out at the group stage – he explained – But we have margin for improvement and we will do our best to improve. I am now focused on Modena. I am really happy to be here, in a club with a great history, but at the same time eager to do well in the present and future”.
