Macerata completed its roster with the arrival of outside hitter Leondino Giombini, who played last season in the A2 at Corigliano. Ten years on, Giombini will be back in his home region as he wore the Ancona shirt back in 2002-03. Besides a prestigious career in the Serie A, he can also boast 153 appearances with the Italian national team with which he took part in three World Leagues (1994, 1997, 1999)
