Verona reached an agreement with setter Dante Boninfante, who had already worn the club’s shirt in 2006-07. Born in Battipaglia, near Salerno, in March 1977, he will play his 16th Serie A1 season after a one-year spell in Poland with Belchatow. Boninfante will meet up again with Giani, who was his coach in Roma in 2011-12.
“I know the coach and know how he works – said Boninfante – I have maximum respect for him. I like the idea to be surrendered by young players, I’ll be able to give them advice and help them improve as much as possible”.
