PLAY OFF, GAME ONE… WELL DONE!
Good start for the biancorossi in the Play off quarter finals. Game 1 against Perugia ended 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-20).
Perugia was in trouble even before the match. Lebl injured his ankle during the warm up and couldn’t be part of the team. So the match started in clear favour of Macerata (8-1 in at the first time out). Second set has been fought and tight up to 23-21 for Perugia when Ivan Miljkovic scores 2 aces. The set will be closed by a Sintini winning block.
Third set has been clearly in Macerata hands for the whole set. Geric has been then voted MVP of the match.

“Play off matches must be faced one at the time. Today we started really well also because of the unlucky Lebl injury. Then we have been very good in the second set in never giving up the set. Our defense covered the block and eventually we close the set in our favour. This was the most important thing of the match. In the third set everything went well. Qualification? It is still open, we are now waiting for the best Perugia. In Game 2 we have to play with the right determination.”
