A great season in numbers

Perugia is already back in work. Vujevic and co finished the regular season at a brilliant 6th place which sent them directly through to the playoff quarters in which they will face Piacenza. In the meantime, the break is also an opportunity to look at the season’s numbers: Perugia is the team that made the fewest mistakes from the serve with 264. The second is San Giustino with 288 and all the others are over 300. Another interesting data is Perugia’s fifth place in terms of break points behind, Trento, Macerata, Piacenza and Cuneo. All in all, the superb ability of Kovac’s boys in the block-dig area seen in the A2 last season, looked as effective as ever at the level above. As for the individuals: Petric finished 6th top scorer. The Serbian spiker only has outside hitters ahead of him, which shows how important is this achievement.
