Loreto came back from Ortona with a point, coming back from a 1-0 deficit to force a tie-break. The 22 points scored by Ranghieri and the 26 from Spescha were not enough in the end as Ortona escaped in the fifth set at 7-7. It took a 10-7 lead and would not be pegged back.
