Marmi Lanza Verona: Unfortunately the 11th consecutive vicotory for Verona has not arrived. The crowd was amazing (5024 people) but Gato and his teammates were not able to stop a very good BreBanca Lannutti. With Bernardi still out, Bagnoli confirmed Moro as opposite player.
In the first set is Verona who handles the game and that goes aheas 10-9. From that moment something changes: Anderson scores 2 aces and gives Cuneo the advantage. Wijsmans and Omrcen keep serving very well and Verona attack is not too strong. Bre Banca Lannutti arrives with no problems at 23-14 and close the set for 25-15. Also the beginning of the second set is for Marmi Lanza with a Howard block and a winning Moro attack. But it is just the beginning. Verona passing is doing bad and when it is right the attack does not score enogh points. So the sets is cleary on Cuneo hands, 14-21 first, and 17-25 at the end of the set.
Third set seems very tight since the start: the scors goes from 8-7 to 15-12 and force coach Prandi to ask for the time out. Verona seems to control the set: 16-13 first and 18-13. But Cuneo is able to reach Verona on 22-22. The score keeps going point to point until the 30-30. The match is closed by a Wijsmans ace rewarded as MVP of the match.
