The three last players were unveiled. Three different stories: Maurizio Latelli is back at the club 10 years on, Gabriele Maruotti is coming off experiences at Treviso and Roma, while Futi Tavana will make his professional debut.

“I had a bit of an unlucky season at Roma – said Maruotti – But the most important thing is to focus on the present. We have an intense year ahead of us. We have a good group and we’re aiming high. We do not have any written goal, but we all hope to go as high as possible, to achieve something big”.

“I’m back in Piacenza after ten years, things have changed a lot – said Latelli who played for Monza, Vibo, Latina, Verona and Roma in between – ten years ago it was a newly promoted side that was playing in a small gym, now the club has matured, gathered many victories and now plays in a more modern arena”.

“This is my first year both in Italy and into professional volleyball – said Tavana – I am extremely excited to be here in Piacenza. The Italian league is the best in the world, in the States there isn’t a true professional league so once you finish college you look for a club abroad”.
