This morning libero Andrea Giovi was welcomed at the Perugia town hall by the town mayor Boccali and sport councellor Liberati to be rewarded for the bronze medal obtained in the Olympic Games in London. Perugia’s coach Kovac and sport director Rizzuto were also present.
“To bring an Olympic medal back to Perugia is definitely something big – said Giovi – I have to say that being just part of the Olympic Games is already something big. We obviously had a dream and an even bigger target but the Olympic Games, which is a tournament different than any other, gave its verdict and that was a fair one”.
