Paolo Torre, setter, and Francesco Mattioli, spiker, were called upon by sport director Sartoretti to bring experience to a squad composed mainly of young talents.
“I am an unusual setter because of my height and the fact I am a lefty – said Torre – These characteristics however allowed me to adapt to various styles of play. Now I want to prove to myself and San Giustino that I can still do the job in Serie A1”.
“I will try my best to help the youngest players using my experience – said Mattioli – We are extremely motivated. Many of us have never reached dizzy heights in our careers, this is a good thing, we all want to show our worth”.
