395 points in 32 games, 37 aces and 30 blocks in Milan is what appears on the résumé of Filippo Vedovotto, the new Padova spiker. Filippo came up in Treviso and made his first significant season in Città di Castello in 2010-11, when he scored 477 points in 34 games. Vedovotto will be ri-united with Giordano Mattera, who was his teammate too last season in Milan.
“I am from this region so wearing this shirt is a privilege for me – said Vedovotto – I have to say this is a team I have always wanted to play for and I am glad to do so now. Besides I am close to home, and I might even be able to speak my dialect every now and then in training”.
