Trentino has always inserted a youngster in the first team in the past six years and this summer will be no different with the promotion of Damiano Valsecchi in the elite. After two years in B1 and A2 with Blue College and Club Italia, he’s back in Trento to play with the big boys.
“I am perfectly aware that it will be tough to find a place on court on Sundays and Wednesdays – said the middle blocker who is physically sound and with an excellent technique – There are top class athletes in front of me but I am not scared. I’ll try to train well, give my best every day in the gym. Then, if a chance comes my way I’ll try to imitate what Lanza did”.
