Middle blocker Rocco Barone was listed in the 15 to take part in a camp with the Italian national team from the 21st to the 15th of May. Barona had helped Italy to sixth place in the World League and to the silver in last year’s European championships.
“It’s always a great satisfaction for me to get a call to play for Italy – said Barone – This call comes at the right time in a season that seemed to be unlucky in that regard. I will work hard to do as well as I can”.
