Puglia region to be represented in the A1

Di Pinto’s Castellana team defeated Segrate in the deciding fifth game of the semi-final at the tie-break and will be up against Molfetta in the final. This means the final will be a special derby and that the Puglia region is certain to be represented in the A1 next season. While this would be a historical achievement for Molfetta, Castellana had already been in the A1 two seasons ago before going back down last summer. The final series will begin this Sunday in Molfetta at 6pm for game 2 as Castellana Grotte is given a 1-0 advantage due to its better regular season position.
