Segrate’s next step in this 2011-12 season is a first semi-final match-up against Castellana Grotte. The latter will start off with a 1-0 advantage in the series thanks to its better regular season position.
“Castellana Grotte is huge favorite in these playoffs like they were in the regular season – said coach Massimo Eccheli – They put together a double team to win the regular season. They did not reach their target and now they want to make it in those playoffs and they’ll be up for it”.
