Australian capitain Daniel Howard declared “We started to win after a very tough time, when we were almost at the botton of the standings. We always believed in ourselves and we knew that we didn’t deserve that spot but something much better. Then we started to win and it was thank to the whole team, the techincal and medical stuff, the fans who supported us even in our worst times. Now we are very happy and our goal is to keep going like this.”
The goal now are the play-off. “It’s so hard to say something right now. A lot of teams are still fighting for a spot in the play-off. But it’s great that our future depends on us and now we need to stay very focused for every single match. I think we showed that we have been able to keep changing our goals, according to the moment. Beating Montichiari was the first direct match to get a spot in the play-off and now we have to keep going also against Perugia. Vibo Valentia and Trento.”
The fight to get to the play off is wide open. “This year we are living a very beautiful and tight championship. At the beginning Treviso looked unbeatable but now we saw it was not true. Now the championship is awesome with different teams having different goals”.
