Just like a few months before, Città di Castello and Corigliano had made it a long battle. In November, Radici’s men had been beaten in the fifth set despite being 2-1 up but this time the opposite occurred. Corigliano went from 1-0 down to 2-1 up only to be defeated in the tie-break.
“Credit to the guests for giving it such a good fight – said President Arveno Joan – But our team could have done better in the third and fourth set. Still, the boys did a great job of recovering from a difficult situation. The team turned things around in the fourth and fifth thanks to a great performance, especially from Rosalba”.
