We knew how tough a game it would be, we also knew the stars of Castellana would have done anything to entertain the home fans, but it would be lying to say we expected to lose. We all hoped in the upset. It’s true that the target is to stay up but that would have been a delightful breakthrough in the derby. In the end, Castellana Grotte ended Molfetta’s run of five consecutive wins. In terms of league table, not much damage has been done: Castellana moves up in second place but Molfetta stays third two points behind.
