Captain Maresca about himself

He feels most of all for himself the role of the symbole of the promotion for Isernia in A2. He says: “I have many roles and I like it, but the one I feel really mine is the one concerning the A2 promotion, cause I really worked hard for it. A great target reached thanks to my mates and the whole team”. When we ask him where he finds the energy to always keep on believing in the Isernia project, he says: “I have always been part of it, of course I believe in it. For me Volley is fun, and that’s the only thing that matters”.
“Since I was playing on court I was always believing in the game until the end, I was always the last to give up. Now it’s a bit more complicated, I can support the boys from the bench, but when I can play I always try to carry calm and tranquillity with me”.
It mustn’t be easy.. “To enter a game that has already begun is very difficult, most of all for you can’t really warm up in a small corner.. Just playing you really warm up. Moreover the very fact you are entering means the situation is desperate, so you really have to find out solutions.. does it seem easy??”.
On his role: “To play libero is particular, you always have to be ready, for a wrong ball is enough to ruin the whole match. Last year I was not really ready, but for the future I think I am”.
