The Block Devils clinched victory at the end of a very hard-fought and tense encounter against Gela in the playout final Game 1. Gardner stood out with 26 points, while the pair Curti-Tomasello had an excellent performance too. Very good job from captain Serafini as well when he came on in the third set. Sequeira’s brilliant display was not enough for the guests. The series is now tied at 1-1 (Gela started with a 1-0 lead thanks to their better regular season position) and Game 3 will be in Sicily.
