Piacenza and its food and wine history, healthy lifestyles and nutrition, the benefits of sports: these were the topics covered this morning in a “lesson” that Coldiretti Campagna Amica and Nicola Salsi, player of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, held at the Gianni Fornari Primary School in San Nicolò.
About fifty students from 3^ A and D were present with their teachers Antonina Cangileri, Antonella Castellano and Manuela Barilati who listened with great attention to the history of Piacenza food and wine with its typical products told by Elisa Rossi representing the Donne Coldiretti movement of Coldiretti and by Valerio Galli Manager of Campagna Amica.
Nicola Salsi: “If you play sports but eat badly, you effectively cancel out the benefits of playing sports. We players go to the Mercato Coperto di Campagna Amica promoted by Coldiretti (in Piacenza in via Farnesiana 17) for lunch because we eat healthily, we know that we eat products from our farmers, Italian products that we know where they come from. Healthy eating involves knowing the product and its origin. The right meals to eat in a day for an athlete are five: a big breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, a snack before training and dinner. Yes, I also eat coppa, salami and pancetta but in moderate proportions, Grana Padano is present in all diets for football and proteins”.
A grand closing with autograph signing and a photograph to seal a special morning for about fifty young students.
