With the conclusion of the Credem Banca Serie A2 Regular Season, the pairings for the Play Off Quarter Finals have been defined: Tinet Prata of Pordenone, thanks to the victory against Smartsystem Essence Hotels Fano, closes the regular season in first place, a position that guarantees direct access to the Play Off Semifinals. Behind the Friulian collective Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia – victorious against Campi Reali Cantù, who will face the seventh-placed team, Cosedil Acicastello, in the Quarter Finals, already certain of the final placement on the eve of the last round of the championship. Consar Ravenna and Emma Villas Siena are instead the protagonists of the other Quarter Finals: the Ravenna team finished third (victory in the tie-break on the field of Banca Macerata Fisiomed MC), while the Siena team concluded their regular season in sixth place with the victory at home to Conad Reggio Emilia. The last pairing of the Quarter Finals will instead see MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo and Evolution Green Aversa, rivals in the last round of the regular season, face off: tonight’s match saw the Piedmontese team win, which will therefore enjoy the home advantage in Game 1, thanks to the overtaking in the standings that took place at the last corner of the Regular Season.
In addition to OmiFer Palmi – already relegated – the other team forced to say goodbye to the category is Conad Reggio Emilia, beaten at home by Siena.
A pairing of the Round of 16 of Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A2 has also been defined: Abba Pineto will meet Smartsystem Essence Hotels Fano, respectively eighth and ninth at the end of the championship.
