This afternoon, Valsa Group middle blocker Simone Anzani spoke ahead of game 2 of the playoff quarterfinals scheduled for Sunday (7 p.m.) at the PalaPanini against Sir Susa Vim Perugia.
“The playoffs – Anzani says – represent the beginning of a new journey, we forget what was done before and every match is different from the other. We have to start again from the positive aspects of game 1 and try to do better in game 2. We approached the first two sets very well in terms of play, attitude and competitive nastiness. However, it wasn’t enough and therefore we need to raise our level even more and give our all in front of our fans. Since the beginning of the year I have been repeating that we should be more patient, we have always given our all and worked hard every day to play these playoffs at our best. I am confident, we can make things difficult for Perugia and try to achieve the feat. We will need to pay more attention to detail and play the best volleyball possible in every fundamental, from serving to attack. I hope that the PalaPanini is full, I know what it means to play matches like this here and the push of our fans must give us extra help and motivation to achieve good results”.
