De Cecco in trouble, Modena landed Uriarte

Luciano De Cecco presented recurrent episodes of renal colic on the left, the tests carried out highlighted the presence of renal stones. The possibility of new episodes is not predictable, having taken note of this situation and as a precaution, Modena Volley has decided to sign up director Nicolas Uriarte, who will therefore become part of the Modena Volley roster for the 2024/2025 season finale, alongside Luciano De Cecco and Silvester Meijs.

An expert setter born in 1990 and a son of art, in his last sporting year, Uriarte wore the shirt of Amigos do Vôlei, a team in the Brazilian top division. He grew up in Azul and during his career he also played in Italy, in Bologna in 2009/10 and in Rome in 2010/11. He also wore the shirts of Boca Juniors, Skra Belchatow in Poland from 2013 to 2017 where he won the Scudetto, Super Cup and Polish Cup and Sada in Brazil first in 2017/18 winning the championship, the Brazilian Super Cup, the Brazilian Cup and the South American club championship and then from 2022 to 2024 winning the Scudetto, two national cups, the Super Cup, the Mineiro championship and again the championship South American for clubs, without forgetting the experience in France at Narbonne with which he obtained the Challenge Cup in 2022 and was named MVP.
