This morning, Friday 14 February, the curtain rose on the Final Four Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3, with the press conference to present the event, which took place inside the headquarters of the Province of Belluno, in Sala Piloni, with local authorities who presented insights and news related to the event, scheduled for 22 and 23 February inside the Palasport of Longarone, where Romeo Sorrento, Personal Time San Donà di Piave, Sieco Service Ortona and Belluno Volley protagonists in the fourth edition of the event reserved exclusively for Serie A3 clubs.
The event is organized by the Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with the Pallavolo Belluno company and with the patronage of the Veneto Region, the Province of Belluno and the Municipality of Longarone.

Massimo Righi (President of the Serie A Volleyball League): “I’ll start by thanking you for the hospitality received: the Serie A Volleyball League has chosen Longarone because Pallavolo Belluno has decided to test itself in this Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3. It is a company equipped with structures, with excellent management staff and with a very important growth path behind it. These are stress tests for companies, which make the actors involved grow a lot. In situations like these I like to underline how the Serie A3 Credem Banca is giving us a lot of satisfaction: it is a new championship, which arose only in recent years after several sporting ‘battles’. We have recorded a strong maturation process from a technical point of view: many players who moved from Serie A3 have arrived in the SuperLega and also in the national team; we managed to give credibility to the championship, creating high-level players. We need to work a lot on Italian athletes: the abolition of the multi-year restriction has brought about various problems. We are monitoring what impact this new mode will have at the end of the season. We are happy to be here to promote an event that will see players with a very high technical level on the pitch, just like the Serie A3 Credem Banca we think could be among the top 25 championships in the world. Furthermore, on Saturday morning, we will bring a wreath of flowers to the Vajont Monumental Cemetery together with the managers and presidents of the teams present at the Final Four to remember an indelible page in the history of our country and this area”.
Roberto Padrin (President of the Province of Belluno and Mayor of Longarone): “Thank you for choosing us, both as a company and as a place to host an event which for the Province of Belluno is one of the most important in recent years. For us it is a pride and an honor to welcome the four clubs in an area, that of volleyball, which gives our country the most satisfaction. Belluno wants to carve out its space in this growth path: the company has managed to become a point of reference thanks to a mix of enthusiasm and structures. The Municipality of Longarone managed to invest heavily in the building, which in the 1980s hosted the volleyball team’s matches: for us it is very exciting to return to that context. I also thank the Municipality of Belluno, hoping that a synergy can be created between two locations that can become a driving force for the entire sporting movement. Thanks to the Serie A Volleyball League who chose us, with the hope of being able to host you for other events in the future.”
Monica Mazzoccoli (Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Belluno): “The return that there will be for this event will be of a high level for the whole territory: we will all team up together, from the administration to the sports clubs. My invitation is for all the citizens of Belluno to go and watch the race. My big good luck goes to all the participants. Thanks to the organization, with the hope that it can be the first chapter of a long series of initiatives.”
Sandro Da Rold (President of Belluno Volley): “The first thing I want to say, in addition to a big thank you for your collaboration, is that, if we are here talking about the Final Four Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3, it is because we reached the final act with merit and sacrifices. In recent years we have witnessed exponential growth as a team and a company; thanks to the Serie A Volleyball League who trusted us in assigning us this event. We chose Longarone first of all to embrace a city that has an important history, secondly thanks to the support of the Province and lastly because the Belluno volleyball club played in Longarone in the 1980s. I’m sure we will witness a beautiful and exciting event.”
