Volleyball as a means of redemption, encouraging a healthy lifestyle. This is the objective of the Volleyball Project which will involve coaches, managers and players of the Campi Reali Cantù participating in the Serie A2 Credem Banca Championship, and the inmates of the Lodi prison. The institution is male, and hosts medium security defendants, permanent prisoners with short sentences, mainly from the local reality. There are three detention sections, two of which with cells open for 12 hours a day, and one section with cells open for 8 hours a day.
And it is precisely in this space that the activity will take place, in a project strongly desired by our Second Coach of the First Team and Technical Director of the Youth Sector Alessio Zingoni, and by the Sports Director Maurizio Cairoli, which expands the offer already in place of the Lodi prison. Everything will take place in four meetings spread over the months of February and March 2025 starting on Monday 17 February 2025, and also includes a final event on a date to be determined (presumably 24 March 2025) with the participation of both managers, coaches and athletes of the Cantù association, and the inmates.
