After the efforts of the championship, which saw Trento win, in front of the home crowd, in the tie-break against Piacenza, in the match valid for the 8th return day of the SuperLega Credem Banca, Fabio Soli’s Dolomites are preparing for the European commitment, which will see them protagonists tomorrow, Tuesday 11 February (8.00 pm), against Chaumont VB 52, in the first leg match of the CEV Cup Quarter Finals. The opponents, French team led by former Trento coach Silvano Prandi, they are part of the group of teams that ‘dropped’ from the CEV Champions League after the conclusion of the Pool Phase, and are currently in first position in the French top division. The reigning European Champions appear in the French nation for the eighth time in their history: an event that Soli had to prepare without Bristot and Acquarone, who remained in Italy due to different physical problems. It will also be the third time that Trentino Itas and Chaumont VB 52 will cross paths, with the balance showing a victory for each side. The return match is scheduled in two weeks, when the team that will advance to the next round will be known at the ilT Quotidiano Arena, Thursday 26 February 2025.
