Verona Volley is pleased to announce the addition of spiker Jordan Matthew Ewert to its roster until the end of the 2024/2025 SuperLega season.

Born in Antioch, California, on March 18, 1997, the American hammer took his first steps at youth level with the Pacific Rim shirt, playing in parallel the school tournaments with Deer Valley HS. Subsequently, he took part in the collegiate championships with the Stanford university team, in NCAA Division I, where he remained until 2019. The following year he moved to Spain to play for Eivissa, before flying to Germany the following season, signing for Luneburg. In 2022 he reached the final of the national cup, being awarded the MVP award of the competition. After three years, in 2023 he signed for the French club Saint-Nazaire, with which he became champion of the French side at the end of the 2023/2024 season. Since 2023, Ewert has been permanently involved with the Stars and Stripes national team.

“I am really happy to start this new experience with the Rana Verona shirt, the first for me in the SuperLega championship, considered by all to be one of the best in the world – the first words of Jordan Ewert as an athlete from La Scala – As soon as the opportunity to come and play here presented itself, it took me a short time to make the decision, because it was a great opportunity for me and my career. I arrive in an ambitious team that has grown a lot in recent years, as demonstrated by the recent Italian Cup final we faced. I can’t wait to meet my teammates and the staff to start the adventure in Verona.
