After the long trip to Lagonegro which did not bring any points in the standings and after the day of rest granted by coach Enzo Distefano, Avimecc Modica returns to the “PalaRizza” from today to prepare for next Sunday’s home match against Energytime Campobasso.
The blue and white team captained by Stefano Chillemi, fresh from two consecutive defeats, will now have to try to take advantage of the double home match (Campobasso and Sabaudia) to move up the rankings and to do so they will have to significantly reduce the margins of error.
Distefano asked his athletes to think about one race at a time and immediately focus on Campobasso, which after the strengthening campaign in December is no longer the sextet they met in the first leg in Molise.
Before starting the work week, the Modica coach examined the match against Lagonegro, where he saw a team with too many ups and downs.
“We return from Lagonegro empty-handed – explains coach Distefano – the match had to be taken immediately with an aggressive technical aspect, because we knew the qualities of our opponent, especially since the arrival on the bench of Kantor and the setter Sperotto and we didn’t . We didn’t have a good approach to the match and it was the first thing I asked the boys, because Lagonegro plays really well and they lost very few points at home. They were good and incisive from start to finish, especially when serving and blocking where they are the best in the Blue group.
