“Ready to give my best”: Francesco Galipò, the young prospect of Domotek Volley tells his story
Francesco Galipò, young spiker from Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, talks about himself after his debut in the quarter-final of the Serie A3 “Dal Monte Coppa Italia” against Ortona. Despite the defeat, the emotion of entering the field was great: “It was unexpected, but I’m happy. It gives me extra energy for the future. Mister Polimeni had told me to be ready but I didn’t think I’d go down immediately on teraflex, especially in such a difficult moment.”
Galipò, who arrived in Reggio Calabria with the aim of learning and growing alongside more experienced teammates, is enjoying a stellar year: “I’m living this experience well, my teammates help me a lot and support me in difficult moments, we are a real group and the results themselves reveal how much and how we work, with how much quality and quantity”.
The young spiker observes and learns from everyone, in particular from Captain Domenico Laganà for the role and from Lazzaretto and Zappoli, without forgetting the flexible Marco Soncini. “I didn’t expect all this following in Reggio Calabria, admits Galipò, “I’m happy with the crowd and proud of the team’s results. Nobody expected this performance from a newly promoted player, not even me. We’re sailing, we’re second in the standings and it’s beautiful.”
.
On the next match against Napoli, Galipò is determined: “We are not holding back, we are preparing as much as possible to repeat the result of the first leg. With the right humility and without looking too much at the ranking, or the next round.
