Emma Villas Siena today visited the Sienese headquarters of Synergie, partner of the white and blue club. The vice president of Emma Villas Siena Fabio Mechini, the marketing and commercial director of the Sienese team Vittorio Angelaccio and the libero of the white and blue team Martin Coser arrived at the headquarters in via Lauro de Bosis. Maria Chiara Lentini, sales manager of Synergie’s Siena office, spoke about the partnership.
Today the Sienese team carries out a double training session at the PalaEstra in view of the next match in the championship, which is scheduled for Sunday 19 January starting from 5.30 pm in the sports hall in Viale Sclavo. The opponent will be Macerata, it will be the fifth day of the return round and the match will be delicate for both teams: Siena is eighth in the standings with 25 points, while the Marche team is in twelfth position with 15 points. Coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team is looking for important points to be able to get back into the playoff zone, the Marche team is looking for points to obtain salvation in Serie A2 and therefore maintain the category.
Both Siena and Macerata were defeated on the last day of the championship: the Tuscans lost in Brescia by three sets to one while the Marches lost at home in a tiebreak a very delicate direct clash for survival against Fano. The first leg match, played on Thursday 31 October, saw Banca Macerata Fisiomed Mc smiling, winning by three sets to zero against the Sienese: opposite of the local team, Niels Klapwijk was the best scorer of the match with 18 points.
