Antonio Polimeni, coach of Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, comments with enthusiasm on the 3-0 victory against Energy Time Spike Campobasso, an important reaction after the defeat of Ortona in the national quarter-final of the Dal Monte Italian Cup of Serie A3.
An exceptional approach:
“The approach to the match was exceptional”, begins Polimeni. “The boys couldn’t digest the defeat in the first leg (which ended 3-2) and, despite the flu that hit the group en masse, they made the right reaction. Furthermore, the desire to get back up after Ortona was fundamental”.
A clear and deserved victory:
Polimeni highlights the clear victory in the first two sets. “It was important to win so clearly,” he says. “In the third set there was a drop in concentration, but we did well to come out of it with the desire to win.”
Praise for Soncini:
The coach spends words of praise for Marco Soncini, who replaced the injured Enrico Zappoli. “He sacrificed a lot in the last few games,” says Polimeni. “Today we saw him in great shape. I brought him to Italy for the first time and I believe very much in him and his undisputed abilities.”
