A 3-1 defeat arrives for Conad who faced Abba Pineto away yesterday.

Pineto takes home three points and leaves Conad high and dry, which drops to twelfth place in the standings, still considered a safety zone.

Carlo De Angelis, libero from Reggio: “Tonight’s start was the only positive thing in my opinion. Today we missed an opportunity, because we didn’t play our best game and even in the last set we had many opportunities that we weren’t able to take advantage of.”

Rocco Barone, central defender and grenade captain; “The approach to the race was, I would say, perfect on our part; we entered the pitch convinced, doing everything we had studied before the match, knowing that this is a difficult pitch. From the second set Pineto came out well, she put us under. I would say that in any case we had various chances in the third set too, because we played it point for point but they definitely gave everything in defence. They were more lucid and more cynical than us and therefore deserved to win. We certainly struggled tonight, which is a shame because we did an excellent job during the week anyway.”

Fabio Fanuli, head coach of Conad: “We are certainly sorry to lose. In the first set we started very well, we were attentive, clear-headed, I liked the boys. Then came Pineto’s reaction and we weren’t as good at putting up adequate countermeasures.
