Sir Susa Vim Perugia won 3-0 against the freshman Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, thus winning the eighth day of the SuperLega and confirming their lead in the standings which sees them +4 from second place, awaiting tomorrow’s matches. The partial scores of the match: 25-8, 25-17, 25-17. The Block Devils, with the returning Solè on the pitch from the first minute, played an excellent game thanks to an inspired Simone Giannelli who, on several occasions, allowed their attackers to score without too many difficulties. MVP of the match Yuki Ishikawa with 18 points and 71% in attack. The match was immediately on the right track from the first exchanges: the serve and the block had a strong impact on the score gap in the first set, sending the guests into difficulty. Nothing to do even in the second set for the former Zhukouski and his teammates, who struggled to contain the shots of Perugia attackers orchestrated by a very inspired Giannelli (7 points on the scoresheet). Perugia continues to push continuously even in the third, managing the partial until the final 25-17. Important numbers in all fundamentals, on all 11 winning blocks, 63% in attack and the same value in positive reception.

Cisterna Volley beat Gioiella Prisma Taranto in three sets, finding the key to overcoming the Ionian team in the magic of Michele Baranowicz (MVP award winner). Coach Boninfante’s team pays dearly for a few too many defections, clinging to Held and Gironi to stay in the Pontini’s wake. A test of strength for the home team, capable of finding the second consecutive success within friendly walls in a direct clash. In double figures for Cisterna Jordi Ramon (12 points) and Theo Faure (17 points), authors of an excellent performance in attack.
