It will be an evening of special effects. And equally special emotions: an evening in which sport meets hope. And a ball, instead of bouncing from one side of the net to the other, goes straight to anyone’s heart.
Because a super guest will arrive at Pala Lambioi on Sunday 17 November (6 pm). Or rather, a super hero: Mattia Villardita, the man who transforms into Spiderman to raise a smile. And give a ray of light to the little ones who are struggling to face their worst adversary every day: illness.
Appointed Knight of the Republic by President Sergio Mattarella, Villardita is known for visits to pediatric hospitals, where his costume becomes an armor of humanity and affection. And it will be him, the “superhero of the little ones”, who will step on the taraflex of the Pala Lambioi, thanks to the initiative promoted by Belluno Volley and the ADMO, to raise awareness among the community about the importance of donating. The occasion is represented by the Serie A3 Credem Banca match between the hosts, led by coach Matteo De Cecco, and The Begin Ancona.
Mattia is a common man who, in an ever-fast society, stops. Listen. Dialogue. He dedicates his time and his “super powers” to children. And he does it by wearing a mask which, from a simple piece of fabric, becomes a shield, magic, a dream intertwined with reality. In that mask, Villardita dissolves and only Spiderman remains, an icon of resilience and smile.
