One month before the start of the 2024 edition of the Club World Cup, which this year will take place from 10 to 15 December in Uberlandia (Brazil), the FIVB has officially defined the groupings for the first phase and the calendar.
There will be two SuperLega Credem Banca teams that will take part in the competition: Trentino Itas, which will participate in the competition as reigning European Champions, and Cucine Lube Civitanova, which will take part as the best semi-finalist of the 2024 Champions League. The event will be broadcast live on VBTV and DAZN.
The Dolomites have been included in Pool B and will face the Brazilians Sada Cruzeiro (champions of the South American confederation), the Argentinians Ciudad Voley (vice champions of the South American tournament) and the Asian vice champions Shahdab Yazd, an Iranian team
Lube however, in Pool A will face the Praia Club, the Brazilian team hosting the event, with the winners of the Asian Cup, the Iranians of Foolad Sirjan Iranian and finally with the Egyptian team of Al Ahly SC, reigning African champion.
The first meeting of both teams is set for December 10th: at 2.00 pm (Italian time), Trento will take the field against Shahdab Yazd, while Civitanova will face Foolad Sirjan Iranian at 5.30 pm. Below is the complete calendar of the two Italian teams, with the Semifinals and Final set for Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December.
