Valsa Group Modena wins the first match of the 6th day of the Regular Season, winning in the fifth set at Rana Verona. Second consecutive victory for the yellows after the success against Monza. However, Rana Verona’s positive streak is interrupted (4 consecutive victories before today).

Positive start to the match for the guests, who gained a three-point lead thanks to Anzani’s first half. The end of the set is incandescent and the local troops turn the score around thanks to the usual Keita, then Spirito takes care of scoring the ace which marks the end of the first set. The reaction of Giuliani’s team is immediate upon returning to the pitch: Buchegger is precise in front of the net and takes up De Cecco’s suggestions. Modena breaks away and equalizes the score. The initial balance of the third set was interrupted by Verona who was effective at blocking and good at extending the ball in the decisive moment, with Mozic crossing the ball which sealed the end of the set. There was also a substantial stalemate in the following set, where the teams began overtaking and counter-overtaking. In the end, Anzani and his teammates found the decisive advantage to bring the match to a tie-break. In the fifth set, Modena puts its face forward, Verona takes it back at the change of court in a hall that has more the resemblance of a bedlam. Rinaldi scores the ace, the Emilians gain confidence and I put an end to the match. MVP of the match Paul Buchegger, capable of scoring 18 points, including 3 from nine meters. The best scorer, however, was once again Keita, again over 30 points, with 60% attacking.

MVP: Paul Buchegger (Valsa Group Modena)
