Pallavolo Macerata communicates the achievement of the sporting performances of the Dutch player Niels Klapwijk. The opposite, born in 1985, will be available to the A2 team and will be registered starting from the fourth day (for purchase after the transfer market is closed), then he will take the field with the red and whites on Sunday 27 October in Palmi.
Niels’ story speaks for itself. Player born in Amersfoot (Holland) in 1985, he took his first steps in the world of professionalism in Rotterdam and then landed in the most famous Belgian club of Noliko Maaseik. From 2011/2012 he arrived in Italy to compete in the A1 first with Vibo Valentia and then with Ravenna. In the following years he will play, again in the top flight, in Türkiye, in Greece, in Romania and in Poland. Italy fascinates him, he landed in Brescia in A2 last year and then decided this year to embrace our cause.
His first impressions: “I am very happy to be in Macerata. After speaking with the company I believed that we would get on well. I still have a lot of desire to play and I’m happy to be able to show it with this shirt. I arrived last night and so I don’t know the boys well yet, but I know that we are a young team and therefore I can bring experience. As opposite, it is clear that I have to be the leader in attack, I will do everything necessary to make us play at our best.”
The management, the staff and the whole city can’t wait to see Niels in the gym, his experience and his talent will be decisive in raising the name of Macerata high in this competitive championship.
