After the brilliant victory in the first championship against Milan, Gioiella Prisma Taranto Volley is preparing to face another high-level challenge, this time away, on Sunday at 5pm at the Il T Quotidiano Arena in Trento against the reigning champions Champions League, Trentino Volley. A team that started well by winning in Cisterna, and which includes among its ranks great protagonists of Italian volleyball, including the Italian spikers Alessandro Michieletto and Daniele Lavia, the former Gabriele Laurenzano as libero, and players of the highest level such as powerful opposite Kamil Rychlicki, currently out, the central defenders Flavio and Jan Kozamernik, and the opposite Gabi Garcia, already a protagonist in the recent Super Cup and against Cisterna. Leading and orchestrating the game will be the setter of the Italian national team, Riccardo Sbertoli, with the second setter Acquarone.

Despite the prestige and quality of their opponents, Gioiella Prisma will take the field with the same determination and courage that has already led them to surprise on the first day of the championship. The victory against Milan gave the team a boost of enthusiasm and confidence, and coach Dante Boninfante’s boys are ready to battle even on the difficult pitch in Trento, aware of the difficulties but determined to demonstrate all their value.

A few hours after the match, the former Trento player, Wout D’Heer, released a statement:

“I can’t wait to return to Trento. It was my first team outside Belgium and I had a really good experience. I arrived in a group with which we won a lot, but above all I found many friends who, even after three years, I carry in my heart. As for the match, I expect a very tough challenge for us.
