Emma Villas Siena will return to the field on Saturday for another test match. Ravenna will arrive at PalaEstra and it will be the last match of the pre-season in view of the start of the championship scheduled for 6 October, the day on which the Sienese team will face Aversa at home. The test match against Ravenna will start at 5.15 pm; Access to the building in Viale Sclavo will be free and clear. Even on that occasion the PalaEstra ticket office will remain open to be able to take out season tickets to follow all Emma Villas Siena’s home matches in the championship live.
Yesterday afternoon the team coached by coach Gianluca Graziosi won the first two sets of the test match, only to suffer a comeback from Banca Macerata who won the friendly match in the tiebreak.
This is the comment at the end of the match from the Emma Villas Siena setter, Thomas Nevot: “It was a long match and it’s a good thing to be so committed in view of the championship and the matches that will award points for the ranking. We will have many challenges to face during the season and every race must teach us something. We also did some good things in this test match, we need to understand what didn’t go well in order to grow in view of the next few weeks and the start of the championship. Now – concluded the French setter – let’s think about the next challenge and the test match that we will play on Saturday at PalaEstra against Ravenna, we want to give a good performance”.
Today the Sienese team returned to training with a double work session at PalaEstra.
